Seeking a Head of Admissions & Engagement

As a key member of the Principal’s Executive, the Head of Admissions & Engagement provides visible, strategic leadership across four interconnected portfolios. This role is responsible for championing authentic storytelling, data-driven decision-making and seamless collaboration across critical touchpoints people have with Ivanhoe Grammar School.
What you will do
This role is instrumental in designing and implementing integrated strategies, with a key focus to enhance the reputation of Ivanhoe Grammar School, deepen community engagement, and drive philanthropic growth. The Head of Admissions & Engagement is a senior Position of Leadership within the School. An inspirational and present leader, this person is responsible for fostering the growth of highly engaged and autonomous team managers, professionals responsible for independent portfolios and people. Portfolios span Admissions, Community Engagement, Communications & Marketing, and Development (which includes fundraising, alumni and philanthropy).
In this role you will:
- shape and execute an integrated, data‑driven enrolment, engagement and fundraising strategy
- guide portfolio managers to deliver an authentic, values‑aligned experience at every touchpoint
- strengthen alumni and donor relationships, driving sustainable philanthropic growth
- provide accurate data, strategic reports and forecasts to the Principal and Board for informed decision‑making
- represent the School at key events and forums, building networks and community partnerships
- champion a child‑safe culture and ensure compliance with all relevant policies.
Who you are
You are a visionary leader. You are an engaging and inspirational person of character. You have demonstrated experience and success in leading diverse teams, building community and growing admissions and community engagement.
You have the necessary experience, knowledge and skills including:
- a relevant qualification in Business (or related discipline) and 5+ years’ leadership success in admissions and engagement or related roles
- proven success in fundraising, community engagement, marketing or enrolments
- outstanding communication, advocacy and relationship‑building skills
- high‑level data acumen and proficiency with CRM, marketing and admissions platforms
- A strategic perspective, personal integrity and a positive, community‑minded approach
- experience working across multiple campuses or large teams in dynamic environments
- demonstrated commitment to child safety and inclusive practice, including a valid WWCC or VIT
- a growth mindset, personal resilience and high emotional intelligence.
