At Ivanhoe Grammar School, we are always looking for great people to join our team. We are always seeking people who are energetic, collaborative and courageous.

Seeking Casual Events and Facilities Assistants

We are seeking two Casual Events and Facilities Assistants to join our team at Ridgeway Campus, Ivanhoe.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, being active throughout the day, and helping create great experiences for students, staff and families through events, campus activities and operational support. While primarily based at our Ridgeway Campus, successful applicants will be required to work across all School campuses from time to time, including Buckley House, Plenty Campus and University Campus.

We are looking for team members who can provide regular support throughout Term 4, with opportunities for approximately 15-20 hours per week, depending on event schedules and operational requirements. Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings and Saturdays is essential to support the School's event program.

What you will do
As a key member of the Professional Services team, reporting to the Calendar, Events & Community Engagement Manager and the Events Coordinator, the successful candidate will:

  • Support the setup and pack-down of School events, functions and community activities.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operational needs of the School across multiple campuses.
  • Assist with catering requirements and maintain kitchen and hospitality supplies.
  • Sort, collect and distribute mail and parcels across the School.
  • Assist with venue presentation and event preparation to ensure spaces are ready for use.
  • Support catering, flag raising and lowering, and the coordination of Primary School lunch deliveries.

Who you are
You enjoy being part of a busy team and take pride in helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. Whether you're setting up for an event, supporting staff and students, or lending a hand wherever it's needed, you bring energy, initiative and a positive attitude to everything you do.

You will bring:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to pitch in where needed.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in a busy environment.
  • Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • An understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.

What we offer you

  • Flexible casual work with opportunities for approximately 15-20 hours per week.
  • Variety in your day, with a mix of events, operational support and campus activities.
  • A supportive and welcoming team environment.
  • Experience supporting large-scale events and community functions.
  • Opportunities to work across multiple school campuses.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • A beautiful and vibrant working environment.

Always seeking great people. Your move.
