About the Role
Our School is searching for a Casual Facilities Assistant to support our experienced Events and Facilities team. This is a critical and ‘hands on role', primarily based at our Plenty Campus Doreen however at times you may also be required to work at our other Campuses located in Macleod and Ivanhoe. This flexible position offers 5-10 hours per week, providing a balanced work-life.
Your Everyday
Working closely with the Calendar, Events & Community Engagement Manager, and the Events Coordinator, the successful candidate will:
- Support preparation and pack-down of School events and daily operational needs of the School
- assist with the catering needs of all Ivanhoe Campus kitchen facilities, including maintaining supplies
- sorting parcels and distributing them to staff members
- raising and lowering of flags
- picking up mail and parcels from the local post office
- co-ordinating the movement of primary tuck lunches.
About You
- Have excellent customer service skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve team goals and meet deadlines
- demonstrated level of organisation skills to work flexibly and to manage conflicting and changing priorities
- ability to operate effectively under pressure and to prioritise work appropriately
- excellent personal presentation
- ability to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
