About the Role
We are seeking a Curriculum & Pedagogical Leader to join our Primary Buckley House Campus, Ivanhoe. You will collaborate closely with the Heads and Deputy Heads of Buckley House and Plenty Primary to provide strategic direction, leadership, and expert guidance in best practice teaching, curriculum review, and the assessment of reporting practices.

This position requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly bridge the unique contexts of both campuses, dedicating 0.8 of their time to Buckley House and 0.2 to Plenty Primary, ensuring a cohesive approach to teaching and learning across the entire school community.

This opportunity encompasses an ongoing Teaching opportunity with a 3 year position of leadership, as a Pedagogical & Curriculum Leader.

Your Everyday
Working closely with the Head of Buckley House and Head of Plenty Primary, the successful candidate will:

  • Prepare for and conduct classes, inspiring and fostering a love and appreciation of learning for our Primary students
  • Use a variety of evidence to inform teaching and learning practices, creating relevant and authentic learning experiences
  • Improve teaching quality through evaluation, professional development, workshops, and performance feedback
  • Lead development, evaluation, and flexible delivery of a supportive, engaging, and effective curriculum
  • Create conditions for learning that are student-centred, outcomes-based, incorporate a diversity of approaches and promote excellence.

About You

  • Suitably qualified and experienced in teaching Primary
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
  • Relevant Post-Graduate studies (or working towards a further qualification) and experience in educational leadership
  • Expert knowledge of child safety protocols and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and to manage staff including setting direction and problem solving
  • Have a passion for research and evidence about how students learn, curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.
