About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Teacher of Commerce to join our Senior School at the Ridgeway Campus in Ivanhoe. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed-term position from Monday 2 June to Friday 12 December 2025, covering two consecutive long service leave periods.

This role involves teaching across Years 7 to 11 and includes:

• Year 11 VCE Business Management (June)
• Year 10 Commerce (June – December)
• Year 11 VCE Legal Studies (July – December)
• Year 7 Humanities (July – December)

We welcome applications for the full Semester 2 contract, or for either Term 3 or Term 4 individually, depending on your availability and interest.

Your Everyday
Working closely with the Head of Pedagogy and Curriculum Leader, the successful candidate will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in VCE Business Management, VCE Legal Studies, Commerce, and Humanities, tailored to the needs of students in Years 7–11
• use a variety of evidence to inform teaching and learning practices, creating relevant and authentic learning experiences
• demonstrate excellence and adopt a proactive, innovative approach to adapting instruction and lessons based on individual student needs
• scaffold instructional activities that facilitate engaging and appropriate learning opportunities
• foster and provide for student wellbeing of our students.

About You

• Suitably qualified and experienced in teaching VCE Business Management, VCE Legal Studies, Commerce, and Humanities
• current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students and colleagues
• passionate about student learning and professional growth
• up to date knowledge of contemporary teaching application and theory

• personal resilience in managing multiple demands and timelines.
