About the Role
We are excited to welcome applications for this senior leadership role in Primary Years learning at Ivanhoe Grammar School's Buckley House. Working with the Head of Buckley House and senior leaders you will support the delivery of our learning and wellbeing programs and the operations of the Buckley House Campus (Early Years to Year 6). The successful applicant will commence in this role from the start of Term 2 2025 or earlier dependant on the preferred candidates' existing commitments. This is a 5-year tenured position.
Your Everyday
Working in collaboration with the Head of Buckley House and pedagogical and wellbeing leaders, the successful candidate will:
- Will work with all staff at Buckley House providing direction and ensuring the development and implementation of the highest quality programs
- be supported by a One-School approach to drive Ivanhoe Grammar’s vision and direction for Primary Years learning
- be a role model for inspiring and fostering a love and appreciation of learning
- use an evidence-based approach to inform academic and wellbeing teaching and learning practices, creating relevant and authentic learning experiences
- demonstrate excellence and adopt a proactive, innovative approach to adapting instruction and lessons based on individual student needs
About You
- Current Full Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- relevant Post-Graduate studies (or working towards a further qualification)
- suitably qualified and experienced in leading curriculum design and student wellbeing program development and implementation
- experience in working with and responding to acute and longer-term student wellbeing needs
- evidence of quality teaching i.e. improving student learning outcomes
- expert knowledge of child safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- personal resilience in managing multiple demands and timelines.
